Job description
The Production Line Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production line within a roofing supply company. This role involves managing staff, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in production management, preferably in the roofing or construction materials industry a plus.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using production management software and tools.
- Knowledge of safety and quality standards applicable to manufacturing environments.
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.

Work conditions:
This position may require working in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to machinery and potential hazards. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead and manage the production team, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and safety protocols.
2. Production Management:
- Oversee daily production schedules and ensure timely completion of orders.
- Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as necessary to meet changing demands.
3. Quality Assurance:
- Implement and uphold quality control standards to ensure that all roofing materials meet company specifications and industry regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes to identify areas for improvement.
4. Safety Compliance:
- Promote a safe working environment by ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct safety training sessions and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations.
5. Process Optimization:
- Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement new technologies and processes.
6. Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, coordinating with procurement to ensure timely availability.
- Maintain accurate records of production output and material usage.
7. Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including metrics such as output, quality, and downtime.
- Document and maintain records of production activities and any incidents.
