Requirements:
Master's Degree in a Counseling Field
Current license as a School Counselor in MI
Experience with Counseling Children and/or Students in a School Setting

Work conditions:
Work during standard school hours, with occasional after-school meetings or events.
Office-based role within the school premises.

Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling services to students facing academic, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
Develop and implement educational programs and workshops that promote mental health awareness, bullying prevention, and social skills development.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to address student needs and academic progress.
Assist students in career exploration and planning, including college and career readiness.
Maintain confidential student records and follow all privacy laws, including FERPA.
Provide crisis intervention when needed and help in the development of safety plans for students.
Advocate for students by ensuring they have access to necessary resources and support services.
Attend and participate in meetings, committees, and training sessions related to student development and school-wide policies.
